Concert at Amnesty International with the choir from Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants

On 13th December 2016, we were pleased to return to Amnesty International UK for a special seasonal concert to celebrate and raise funds for two important organisations supporting refugees in London: the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants and Young Roots:

We performed a programme of music and songs with the Islington Centre Refugee Choir who we collaborated with for our launch concert. WHO Director Romain Malan works in this refugee centre as a choir leader. The songs were inspired by the work of members of the Art and Writing sessions at the Islington Centre led by Sita Brahmachari and Jane Ray. The lyrics were poems written by Sita Brahmachari and the music was composed and arranged for the orchestra by Romain Malan.

There was also an exhibition of art from the centre and photographs were displayed.
